99.9% of the blogger gals I follow have little girls, so I have been on my own for boy holiday basket inspo. This is the first real holiday we are doing a little more for Kai because he has gotten so big and now notices new things, so I cannot wait for Easter morning when he sees his very own basket! And he loves taking things in and out of baskets and buckets (and the dryer), so this is perfect. Ha!
Husbands can be tricky to buy for too, especially over here because everything Gauge wants is way out of our budget. I’ve shopped around for both of my boys and wanted to share what I found and add some boy/guy inspiration to the blogging world that is trendy and thoughtful, but won’t break the bank. Everything I’ve shared below is linked to exactly what I purchased or something similar, unless it was from the dollar section at Target. Happy shopping, friends!
HUSBAND EASTER BASKET
Dollar Shave Club — Gauge has been a member of DSC for almost 3 years and he loves it. He gets his razors sent directly to our house every month (now every five months because he has so many). He also loves the Shave Butter + Post Shave Cream. Everything is so reasonably priced and the more you add to your cart, the deeper the discount! I got him some of his go-to’s to throw in his basket, as well as a new body wash from their shower line.
Tip: don’t over think it. Think about what your guy likes the most, or what would encourage his hobbies. Gauge loves going to the gym + playing Xbox + working on his car, so I have endless ideas of what else I could’ve put in his basket, but I am making myself be reasonable and you can only fit so much into a basket, right?
BABY BOY EASTER BASKET
Toy gardening set (came with 3 pieces)
Slumberkins “peep” — these are limited-edition and come in three colors; so darling and oh so soft.
Easter books — We are collecting cute holiday books so we can hang a few shelves to display them either in Kai’s room or a play room when we move into our new house.
I also got some pretty pastel colored plastic eggs to throw in Kai’s basket too because he is going through the phase where he is much more interested in things that aren’t exactly toys, so he’ll love them. Let’s face it, Kai will probably be more interested in the basket and the ribbon everything is tied with, but this is totally my love language. I thrive off of creating and giving.
Pom Poms — For these baskets I used a combination of Ocean Blue/Green, Light Gray, and Light Mint (all are $5 for 12 from this shop). I am so impressed by the quality and the price. They also come in the cutest packaging, which is another one of my favorite things.
